Sugar in protein bars. Dates therapeutic properties.

Hello guys and gals!

Inna is here again :-)

Today I want to bring up THE MOST requested topic on protein bars including Good Cravings product.
You've probably already guessed it right that we will be discussing SUGAR.

Honestly, sitting down and making notes on this subject, I realized how broad it was, therefore I decided to split it into micro-topics. In this newsletter, I want to touch on glucose, sources of sugar in our bars and reasons why we love and use date so much.

I covered most of it in this short 8-minute video but here are some notes:

1. Glucose, a form of sugar

is the primary source of energy for every cell in the body. Although the brain needs glucose, too much of this energy source can be a bad thing. Sugar has drug-like effects in the reward center of the brain.

3. Two sweeteners that we use in Good Cravings bars are

- Whole dried dates

- Dried cherries and cranberries with no white sugar added

2. Sources of sugar in food

are important as they have a different impact on the brain and body in general. Raw un-processed sources are the best!
